If what 2008 says is correct then how does it translate for the different models and years. This table gives us nothing of the sort, just a list of models and reorted serial numbers, similar to the lists formed for No4 Mk2 etc. I thought the original question on this was how they sequenced to each year.

Translates to Model 44, single shot rifle.308 cal, DK prefix, no suffix with three digit serial number. Prefix, fifth is known suffix and the last is the number of numeric digits in the serial number.
